YOUNG AUDIENCES PROGRAMME 2019

Take a peek at our Young Audiences and School Programme 2019!

This year, young festivalgoers, their parents and their teachers will get to enjoy a huge array of film screenings, workshops and events as part of LuxFilmFest 2019 (7-17th March). The Young Audiences team has searched the world over for original, fun and thought-provoking feature and short films, from home-grown talent in Luxembourg, to Denmark, Colombia and beyond. From a toad detective, to teen vloggers and student revolutionaries, LuxFilmFest’s Young Audiences Programme has many charming and inspiring characters to discover.

Young visitors can try their hand at background animation, make household objects come alive or learn about the early days of the moving image (and much more!) in our workshops and masterclasses dedicated to under 18-year-olds.

Don’t forget that a number of morning school screenings are open to the public this year as part of our new ALL DAY LONG programme – meaning you will be able to book tickets for weekday morning screenings at Ciné Utopia and the Cinémathèque as well as the usual public afternoon and weekend screenings.

Register your class for school screenings

With a strand entirely dedicated to schools, teachers can register their classes directly with LuxFilmFest by using a dedicated registration form for films, workshops and events. The deadline for registrations is 1st March 2019.

A Teachers’ Pack full of learning guides and activities for each film is available online too. Get inspired and download it here.

Buy your tickets

Individual tickets for the Young Audiences Programme’s public screenings are available online now www.luxfilmfest.lu and www.luxembourgticket.lu.

Please note: to attend the morning school screenings which are open to the general public, please purchase your tickets online in advance. The Festival box offices in the participating cinemas will not be open in the morning to accomodate walk-ins.

Festival Passes will go on sale on 14th February 2019.

The complete programme will be announced at our press conference on 13th February 2019.
