Max Jacoby

Max Jacoby, born in 1977, is a Luxembourgish film director and screenwriter. He studied at the London Film School where he graduated in 2001 with his short film Babysitting (2001). In 2004, he released the short The Lodge with Eve Best in the lead role. His next short, Butterflies (2005) was adapted from a short story by English author Ian McEwan and went on to win, among others, the Prix UIP for Best European Short Film at the 62nd Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for the 2005 European Film Awards. His first feature Dust (2009) premiered in competition at Busan International Film Festival. In 2016, his first film in Luxembourgish, Everything Was As Always (2016) featured at the Luxembourg City Film Festival. Péitruss (2019) is his second feature.
