LuxFilmLab – 7. September 2022

After the Fashion Week, Carl and Yaya, a couple of models and influencers, are invited on a yacht for a luxury cruise. While the crew takes care of the guests, the captain refuses to leave his cabin as the famous gala dinner approaches. Events take an unexpected turn, and the balance of power is reversed when a storm arises that threatens the comfort of the passengers.

Triangle of Sadness is an uninhibited satire where roles and class are inverted, and the tawdry economic value of beauty is unveiled.

“For the majority of the film, Östlund’s combination of sledgehammer and scalpel work a treat. They’re fast becoming the hallmarks of a satirist who’s unlikely to run short of subject matter any time soon.” Phil de Semlyen, TimeOut, 22/05/2022
