2019 PROGRAMME REVEALED & TICKETS ON SALE

We’re delighted to announce the arrival of our 2019 programme! You’ll find an eclectic mix of international and Luxembourgish premieres, masterclasses with legends of contemporary cinema, Festival parties and much more!

What to expect…

… Kings and Queens of the big screen
With Sebastián Lelio’s GLORIA BELL kicking-off proceedings on 7 March, LuxFilmFest audiences will be blessed by a masterful performance by JULIENNE MOORE as a disco-dancing divorcee on the lookout for love. Winding things down at our Closing Night on 17 March is the International Premiere of Harmony Korine’s THE BEACH BUM, with a joyous take from MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY as a rebellious, nihilistic stoner.

… legends from behind the camera
With masterclasses from ABDERRAHMANE SISSAKODARIUS KONDJI and others (TBC), cinephiles will be granted unprecedented access to the thoughts and processes of some of contemporary cinema’s biggest names.

… screenings ALL DAY LONG

With such a varied and exciting line-up, it’s a good thing we have opened up morning and lunchtime screenings for you to enjoy films ALL DAY LONG: morning screenings at the weekend, weekday morning school sessions open to the public, new slots at 14:00 and 16:00 at Ciné Utopia and the Cinémathèque, as well as the traditional evening screenings.

This is just a snippet of all that we have in store - with 97 films and 225 different events and screenings this year, that €30 Festival Pass is even more of a bargain than before. Browse the programme online to start putting together your dream Festival schedule.

Our online box office is open for business! Buy individual tickets for screenings (€7) or a Festival Pass for €30. For a breakdown of where to buy tickets in person up until the Festival and over the Festival period, visit the ticketing section of our website.
