Teenagers in 70 European cities and beyond have spoken!

From 23rd to 26th April, 2,000 12 to 14-year-old film fans from 32 European countries, including Luxembourg, watched the three films nominated for the EFA Young Audience Award, deliberated and voted for their favourite film.

On Sunday, 26th April, during the Awards Ceremony streamed live online, the film My Brother Chases Dinosaurs (Mio fratello rincorre i dinosauri) (IT, ES, 2019) by Stefano Cipani was announced as the winner of the EFA Young Audience Award 2020 and named best European youth film of the year.

On the initiative of the Luxembourg City Film Festival, 25 young jurors from Luxembourg took part in the event which was organised entirely online for the first time in its history due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The video of the Awards Ceremony, as well as interviews with the directors are available on the Young Audience Award's official website.
The nominated films will be made available on various VOD platforms across Europe, on iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV and Pantaflix.

A warm thank you to all our jury members that took part in the EFA Young Audience Award 2020. We're already looking forward to welcoming you next year to another edition that will hopefully once more take place in cinemas all over the continent.
