Young Audience Award 2022

Call for young jurors for the 2022 Young Audience Award by EUROPEAN FILM ACADEMY!

On 12th November 2022, Luxembourg City Film Festival will once again take part in the YOUNG AUDIENCE FILM DAY organised by the “European Film Academy”. The three films nominated for the ACADEMY YOUNG AUDIENCE AWARD will be screened for free at the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg during the afternoon. Young film fans, aged 12-14, are invited to join the European Jury of the 11th EUROPEAN FILM ACADEMY YOUNG AUDIENCE AWARD.

On this coming 12th November, as members of the Luxembourgish jury, 12-to-14-years-old film fans are going to watch the competing films and, after intense deliberations, choose a winner among the three following contestants: ANIMAL by Cyril Dion, COMEDY QUEEN by Sanna Lenken, and DREAMS ARE LIKE WILD TIGERS (TRÄUME SIND WIE WILDE TIGER) by Lars Montag. All three films are shown in their original version with French and English subtitles. The different national juries are then going to transmit their results via live video conference to Erfurt (Germany) where the winner of the European vote will be announced.

The awards ceremony will be streamed live on www.yaa.europeanfilmawards.eu, the event’s official website which also offers further information on the nominated films and the participating cities.
