Young Audiences Programme 2021

You’re gonna go far kid!

It’s fresh, it's crazy - Discover our 2021 Young Audiences and School Programme!

This year, from 4th to 14th March, young festivalgoers, their parents and their teachers will get to enjoy a huge array of film screenings, workshops and events. The LuxFilmFest team has put together a high quality program, with more than forty films for young moviegoers from 3 years old.

Whatever the sanitary conditions may look like in March, the Young Audiences programme will find its way to cinemas or online via the Festival's digital platform. We will be at your side to offer you a welcoming eleventh edition of outstanding artistic value. We have therefore chosen to develop a digital solution which, in addition to the in-person, in-theatre offer, will allow you to enjoy the Festival’s entire programme in the best possible conditions. No less than seven films dedicated exclusively to high school students (over 12 years old) will be available online. We will of course keep prioritising in-person cinema screenings but we will be able to adapt according to restrictions and will always make the safety of our viewers our first and foremost priority.

The Young Audiences team has searched the world over for original, fun and thought-provoking feature and short films, from home-grown talent in Luxembourg, to Spain, Mongolia and beyond. Intrepid heroes, dreamy animals or inspiring teenagers, the films from the Young Audience programme will not stop surprising you!

As every year, the Luxembourg audiovisual and animation community as well as various cultural institutions are involved in these educational and interactive activities by supporting numerous workshops. Young festivalgoers will have the chance to discover the secrets of animation techniques, try their hand at 3D creation, imagine characters and much more, during our workshops and Masterclasses dedicated to those under 18.
