
DOCUMENTARY AWARD - BY BGL BNP PARIBAS
The DOCUMENTARY AWARD – by BGL BNP PARIBAS, worth 5,000 €, would have been presented during the Festival's award ceremony on 14th March 2020 at Kinepolis Kirchberg which had to be cancelled due to the premature stop of the Festival on Thursday, 12th March following the increase in Covid-19 cases.
The members of the Documentary Jury, did manage to view all off the films of the Documentary Competition during their stay in Luxembourg over the course of the Festival’s first weekend. They chose to give the DOCUMENTARY AWARD – BY BGL BNP PARIBAS to COLLECTIVE (COLECTIV) by Alexander Nanau.
Satement of the Documentary Jury (Nicolas Girard Deltruc, Anaïs Emery, Kathrin Kohlstedde, Davide Oberto, Miroslav Mogorović):
“For a powerful film that offers transparency and freedom of expression at the centre of a cinematographic process of rare efficiency, the winner of the Documentary Award – by BGL BNP Paribas of the tenth edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival is COLLECTIVE by Alexander Nanau.”
