Kids Jury Award

Kids Jury Award

The KIDS JURY AWARD would have been presented to the winning film during the Festival's award ceremony on 14th March 2020 at Kinepolis Kirchberg which had to be cancelled due to the premature stop of the Festival on Thursday, 12th March following the increase in Covid-19 cases.

However, as the members of the Kids Jury (Cycle 3.1 class of the Cents primary school – teacher: Isabelle Prussen) managed to view all of the films of their selection, they chose to give the KIDS JURY AWARD to ROMY'S SALON (KAPSALON ROMY) by Mischa Kamp.

Statement of the Kids Jury (Cycle 3.1 class of the Cents primary school – teacher: Isabelle Prussen):

“It’s a sad story full of happy moments. A touching story because all of us have cherished relationships with our grandmothers. Only a few of us could hold back our tears while watching the film and the convincing performance of Stine. Although we saw other, more dynamic films, we agreed very quickly that it was this one that deserved the award. Therefore, the Kids Jury presents the Kids Jury Award to ROMY’S SALON (KAPSALON ROMY) by Mischa Kamp.”
