With: Olivier Pesch
Language: language adapted to the school classes’ needs
Duration: 2x 210’
Venue: Cercle Cité
Maximum number of participants: 15 children / 1 school class per workshop, max. 2 classes
In this workshop, school children will dive into the world of cutout animation. Participants will be initiated into this traditional animation technique through a series of examples and explications, to then write their own short script. Next, they’ll create puppets and film sets out of old magazines which will be animated during the workshop. At the end, the children will have directed their own animated short with Olivier Pesch.
The workshop is limited to 2 classes and will be held across two mornings: On the 5th and 6th March for the first classes, on the 9th and 10th March for the second one. In the weeks leading up to the Festival, Olivier Pesch will offer a short lesson to the participating classes directly in their school to prepare the workshop.
