The Early Days of Animated Cinema

By: Fabrique d'Images

With: Aline Salvi, Philippe Raoux

Language: French and/or Luxembourgish

Duration: 90 minutes

Maximum number of participants: 20

Cartoons are animation cinema’s oldest and most famous technique. A short scene or story is broken down into a series of individual drawings which, once projected, create the illusion of a continuous movement.
Fabrique d’Images, a Luxembourgish animation film studio, in partnership with the Crazy Cinématographe invites you to discover – or rather rediscover – the earliest animation techniques to bring characters to life by means of various devices: praxinoscopes, flipbooks and phénakistoscopes.
