UTOPIA : Une passion pour le Septième Art. Du Ciné-Club 80 au Groupe Utopia

Presentation and sale of Yves Steichen's book.

Over a period of forty years (1975-2016) a bunch of film enthusiasts impacted and shaped  the entire film exhibition market in Luxembourg. This book extensively covers the historical development from the student  film society (Cine Club 80) to the international Utopia Group of cinemas, relying on hitherto unexploited documents, and testimonies from the founders of the Utopia and Utopolis cinemas. It is based on Yves Steichen’s master’s  thesis  written in 2012 at the University of Luxembourg.

The book (212 pages, in French) will be up for sale as from March 4th at the Luxembourg City Film Festival Headquarters (Gëlle Fra), the Utopia cinema, the CNA (Dudelange), the regional CDAC cinemas and selected bookshops.
