Take a musical lunchbreak with Maurice Clement!

Maurice Clement, Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra's organist in residence, will bring some of the earliest archival film footage from early 20th century Luxembourg to life with musical improvisation. Part of Luxembourg City Tourist Office's free midday concert series, this special edition of the event will bring together Clement’s musical talents and pioneering film footage from 1900 to 1912, including Grand Duchess Marie-Adélaïde’s accession to the throne and other historical events from the city of Luxembourg.

Luxembourg City Tourist Office puts on free concerts in different locations across the city centre on two Fridays every month (12.30 to 1.30 p.m). Exploring the boundaries between traditional classical repertoire and chamber music in a playful way -  with a wide range of exotic and lively sounds- these musical lunchbreaks promise a fun and enrichening alternative to a desk-based sandwich, opening up opportunities for people who are time-strapped to enjoy music outside of traditional evening timeslots.
