Workshop Le début de la fin

Stop motion and film music workshop.

With: Manon and Bastien David
Language: French
Duration: 150min
Registration: register@luxfilmfest.lu
Maximum number of participants: 20 people

Manon David is the director of three short films and a stop motion film. Her workshop offers an insight into stop motion animation and kicks off with a screening of her short film “Le début de la fin” to illustrate the technique involved, which incorporates all the steps required in the creation of an animation film: script, screenplay, characters, set design, etc. With her help, participants then get to create a short pixilation animation film (stop motion featuring live actors).

A sound workshop completes the film creation process learned during the stop motion workshop. Under the guidance of Bastien David, participants compose the music and sound effects for their film, using simple sound sources such as singing, the spoken voice, whispering and body percussion. In doing so, they discover the importance of music in film.
Bastien David studied composition at the Conservatoire de Paris and created the music for Manon David’s short animation film “Le début de la fin”.
