An unexpected gift transforms an old man’s mundane work routine.
Before mobile phones and alarm-clocks, an old lonely man, the Awaker, would walk through the countryside to the village to wake up its residents. Every day is exactly the same, until he runs out of strength and his grandson comes up with the brilliant idea of gifting him a shiny new bell.

Filip Diviak was born in 1993 in Bratislava, Slovakia. He studied 3D animation at secondary school before becoming interested in filmmaking. He continued his studies at the Studio of Animated Arts at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Awaker (2017) is his final university project.
