Russia, 2020 / 8 min / Without dialogue / Animation
In view of the current events in Ukraine, the Luxembourg City Film Festival has decided, in agreement with the Government and the City of Luxembourg, to withdraw the Russian film GERDA by Natalya Kudryashova from the Official Competition, as well as the following Russian films for Young Audiences: BLANKET by Marina Moshkova, LE ROI ET LA POIRE by Nastia Voronina, CORNSTALK by Anastasia Zhakulina. Tickets for GERDA will be reimbursed, the programs for young audiences containing these works will be adapted.
Once upon a time there was a princess known throughout her kingdom for her legs which were way too long and brought her lots of struggles.
In an attempt to marry off his daughter, her father, the king, organises a ball, but all the guests run away in horror at the sight of her legs. Nonetheless, the princess eventually find happiness thanks to bad and good luck!

Anastasiia Zhakulina was born in 1982 in Balakovo, Russia.
She graduated from the Design Department at Saratov Art High School. She finished her Arts Studies at the Gerassimov University of Cinematic Arts in 2009. She has worked in the animation field since 2005 as an animator, editor, and director.
