Dreamer Roccy
South Korea, 2019 / 10 min / French OV (FR OV) / Animation, Short
An enchanting story about a little dog and its dreams.
Roccy, a shy puppy, dreams of performing a wonderful show. Dreamer Roccy is about Roccy’s daily life stories and her special friends.
“The name “Roccy” comes from “Rocinante,” the horse that charged into the windmills with Don Quixote. He reminds me of my younger self, when I used to run wildly to reach my dreams. I still have much to learn to this day, but I am grateful for the things that made me who I am. I created this story to give something back to those I am thankful for.” Director’s Statement, Hyunmi Lee
Hyunmi Lee is a South Korean director and animator. She graduated from the Hongik University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Korean Language Education and Visual Communication Design and later graduated from the National University of Arts with a Master’s Degree in Animation.
