After moving to an apartment in the big city, Laura misses her old home in the country. One evening, she sees a small star fall from the sky. Laura and the star then live magical adventures that make her wildest dreams come true. But the star also longs for its home. Joya Thome was born in Berlin in 1990. She began making short films and working on film sets as a teenager. In addition to her work as a director, assistant director, and caster, she studied education and social sciences in Berlin and New York. She directed her feature film debut in 2017, KÖNIGIN VON NIENDORF, which received various awards. She also directed several episodes of the popular youth series DRUCK (2020).
