ROSIE & MOUSSA
Belgium, 2018 / 90 min / French version (FR) / family
A friendship blossoms on the rooftops of Brussels.
With her dad suddenly "out of town," Rosie and her mum move to a high-rise block in Molenbeek on the other side of the city. Initially suspicious of her fellow residents, Rosie meets and reluctantly befriends her neighbour, Moussa, whose apartment is always filled with family, laughter and a little chaos. Together, the two wander the rooftops, escaping from the madness of their private lives. There, they learn to trust each other with their secrets and stick together as they search for clues about the disappearance of Rosie's father. Rosie is desperate to bring her mum and dad back together, but her mother doesn’t want anything more to do with him. And to make matters worse, she falls in love with another man.

“Dorothée van den Berghe has made a genuinely poetic urban film. This is the youth film that Brussels has deserved for a long time.” Bruzz.be, 28/3/2018
