Born in 1986, Camille Brunel is a writer and film critic specialising in the representation of animals. He is also an activist for animal rights and veganism. He published La guérilla des animaux in 2018 with Alma Éditeur (Grand prix SGDL du Premier roman 2019). He is the author of two essays: Vie imaginaire de Lautréamont (Gallimard, 2011) and Le cinéma des animaux (UV Éditions, 2018). Les métamorphoses, his second novel, has been selected for the Prix Renaudot 2020. Finally, he has just published Après nous, les animaux, in the Young Adult literature section of Éditions Casterman.
