Douglas Kennedy

Born in Manhattan in 1955, Douglas Kennedy studied history at Bowdoin College in Maine and Trinity College in Dublin where he starts a theatre company in 1977. He starts writing professionally at age 28 and publishes his first book “Beyond the Pyramids” in 1988, an account of his travels to Egypt. After a stint as journalist in London, he writes “The Dead Heart”, his first novel, and the follow-up bestsellers “The Big Picture” and “The Woman in the Fifth”, all of which are adapted into films. His 12 novels sold over 14 million copies globally and are translated into 22 languages.
