Fernanda Polacow
Fernanda Polacow is a Brazilian screenwriter and filmmaker, living and working in Brasil and in Portugal. She has developed, written and directed projects for a wide range of different TV channels such as Al Jazeera, HBO and Netflix as well as for cinema. Her work usually revolves around social and political issues. She is also a collaborator of Buala, an online platform in the artistic and academic fields that stimulate public debate about the lasting impact of racism and colonialism across Portuguese-speaking communities. She is currently directing a project on the massacre of transgender population by the police force in the 80’s in Brazil. She is the screenwriter of Mosquito (2020).
