
Gustavo Salmerón
Director, Lots of Kids, a Monkey and a Castle
Born in Madrid in 1970, Gustavo Salmerón is one of the known faces of Spanish cinema as an actor: he played in hit films like The Red Squirrel (1993), It’s All Lies (1994), Mensaka (1998), Asphalt (2000), Reinas (2005) and Amar (2017) among many others. In 2001, he directed his first short film Desaliñada (2001) which took home the Goya in this category. His feature debut, the documentary Lots of Kids, a Monkey and a Castle (2017) in which stars his own family, premiered at Karlovy Vary 2017.
