Mohamed Siam

Director, Amal

Mohamed Siam is a director, producer and a cinematographer who has received several international grants in support of his film projects, including grants from the Sundance Institute and the IDFA Bertha Fund. Prior to filmmaking, he studied psychology, eventually undertaking a variety of roles in the Egyptian and international film industry, notably as cinematographer and assistant director. His first feature documentary Whose Country (2016) won the Prix special CNCI de l’image “Ali Ben Abdallah” for a feature film in competition at the Carthage Film Festival.
