RALF KUKULA
Ralf Kukula, born in 1962 in Dresden, is a German filmmaker and director. He studied fine art and graphic design from 1979-81. He joined the DEFA Studio for Animated Film in 1981 and studied animation at the "Konrad Wolf" College of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1994-87. From 1991-98, he worked as a freelance producer, writer and cinematographer for documentaries and animation films, and in 1999 he joined Balance Film, where he is now managing director. He is also the co-founder of the Saxony Film Association and the German Institute for Animated Film.
