Saïda Manai

President of a theater association in Tunis, her hometown, Saïda Manai left her native country when Salafists burned her house after her play about women’s role in Arabic countries and especially when she played prayer scenes. Thanks to the movie “Le Chant des Hommes” (Rising Voices), she got a resident permit and, according to her statements, found her joy of life.
