Anaïs Emery cofounded the NIFFF and has been serving as its Artistic Director since 2006. She made it possible for the festival to grow into an international event that celebrates the diversity of the fantasy genre and the multidisciplinary aspects of cinema. Committed to helping the new generation of Swiss filmmakers, she is part of a pool of experts from Cinéforom, the Swiss Film Academy and the Swiss Film Festivals Association committee. She is one of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation board members. Anaïs used to be the Nantes Science-Fiction International Festival director, and the programmer of an independent cinema. She studied films at the University of Lausanne. In 2017, she graduated from a Diploma of Advanced Studies in digital communication and web expertise at the University of Geneva and launched Future storyworlds@CERN that aims to strengthen concepts of visionary narrative linked to technological development.
