Born in 1989, Clément Schneider studied directing at the Fémis from which he graduated in 2013. While working as a projectionist, he directs short films produced by the company he founded with Chloé Chevalier and Alice Bégon: Les Films d'Argile. His film Un violent désir de bonheur was selected in Cannes in the ACID programme in 2018 and was released in theatres in the same year. He shoots with regularity, exporting various genres and formats. His latest film, La cure, co-directed with Simon Rembado, was released in 2021. He is also writing a doctoral thesis at the Université Paris Science et Lettres: "Par ailleurs, le cinéma est une utopie".
