After several years assisting Thierry Arbogast, Jeanne Lapoirie became director of photography on André Téchiné's film, Les Roseaux Sauvages. Then, she directed the photography of many films directed, among others, by François Ozon, Robin Campillo, Catherine Corsini, Paul Verhoeven... She was nominated three times for the César for best photography, with the films 8 Women, Mikael Kohlhaas and 120 Beats per Minute.
