There&#8217;s a different atmosphere at Cin\u00e9 Utopia, where a candid portrait of the world is painted: <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxfilmfest.lu\/en\/movies\/soldiers-of-light-soldaten-des-lichts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soldiers of Light<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (6 pm, in the presence of director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxfilmfest.lu\/en\/guests\/johannes-buttner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Johannes B\u00fcttner<\/strong><\/a>) plunges us into the delusions of a childhood friend who has become a far-right conspiracy theorist influencer.<\/p>\n<p>While the Luxembourg Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que is undergoing renovations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxfilmfest.lu\/en\/movies\/le-chantier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Le Chantier<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (8 pm &#8211; Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que @Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Capucins) by Jean-St\u00e9phane Bron offers a glimpse of a Parisian cinema rebuilt by Renzo Piano. In between, the Sorogoyen retrospective kicks off with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxfilmfest.lu\/en\/movies\/stockholm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Stockholm<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (2 pm Cin\u00e9 Utopia), the film that launched the edgy Madrid native, President of the International Jury for this 16th edition.<\/p>\n<p>And to finish, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luxfilmfest.lu\/en\/movies\/memory-of-princess-mumbi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Memory of Princess Mumbi<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>(8:45 pm &#8211; Cin\u00e9 Utopia) by Damien Hauser turns everything upside down: a retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic Africa, the first Kenyan film in competition at Venice, shot on a shoestring budget with AI-generated sets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As tradition dictates, Monday is dedicated to short films with the traditional Showcase Shorts (6:30 pm &#8211; Kinepolis Kirchberg).
