The day kicks off with Human Resource<\/em><\/a>\u00a0by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit (10:30 am – Kinepolis Kirchberg), a Thai drama discovered in Venice. This will be the film’s last screening and the international jury’s first outing, an event in itself.<\/p>\n

For the sweet madness of the day, head to the Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que @Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Capucins at 2 pm with Hen<\/em><\/a> by Gy\u00f6rgy P\u00e1lfi, a Hungarian filmmaker renowned for his visually hallucinatory films. A story about a chicken that has nothing to envy of the weird Greek wave.<\/p>\n

In the evening, the programme will shift to more raw worlds. Barrio Triste <\/em><\/a>(6.15 pm – Cin\u00e9 Utopia) marks the transition to feature film for Stillz, director of music videos for Bad Bunny and Rosal\u00eda (produced by Harmony Korine), with this story of a stolen camera in the hands of teenagers in Medell\u00edn in 1987.<\/p>\n

Finally, Luxfilmfest will welcome iconic Quebec director Denis C\u00f4t\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> with his film Paul <\/a><\/em>(8:15 pm – Cin\u00e9 Utopia). An unjudgmental portrait of an obese, anxious and depressed forty-something who has found balance by cleaning the homes of dominatrixes and posting about it on Instagram. Acclaimed at the Berlinale, winner of the Jury Prize at Hot Docs… undeniably one of the most surprisingly tender works of the year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
