A major figure in contemporary European cinema, the director of El Reino, As Bestas and the series Antidisturbios will bring his incisive, political and deeply human perspective on today’s cinema to the jury.
A fan of tense, political and edgy cinema (the opening scene of Madre remains a model of its kind), he is considered one of the finest illustrators of issues of social violence, corruption and human complexities.
At LuxFilmFest, he will chair the jury just a few weeks before the unveiling of El Ser Querido, a new project whose first elements have already caused quite a stir.
He will take part in the Masterclass on Saturday 14 March at 15:00 at the Cinémathèque @ Théâtre des Capucins.
