In-I In Motion
Synopsis
In 2007, renowned French actress Juliette Binoche and acclaimed British dancer-choreographer Akram Khan stepped away from their respective professions for seven months to collaborate on the hybrid stage piece In-I. Drawing on unseen rehearsal footage and performance excerpts, In-I in Motion is a meditation on artistic risk and the transformative process of making work that pushes both bodies and boundaries.
Without voiceover or commentary, Binoche’s directorial debut offers candid insight into the creative process of two exceptional performers as they confront their limits, emotional and physical. A formidable record of artistic experimentation.
