Jimpa
Synopsis
Hannah and her non-binary teenager Frances travel to Amsterdam to visit their gay grandfather Jim. When Frances decides to stay a year abroad with Jim, Hannah is forced to reconsider her beliefs on parenting.

Sophie HYDE
Sophie Hyde is an Australian director, screenwriter and producer. She co-founded the production company Closer Productions and the filmmakers’ initiative The Unquiet Collective. Her first feature-film 52 Tuesdays (2013) won the World Cinema Award at Sundance and the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale. Her subsequent works, including Animals (2019) and Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (2022) garnered international recognition for their innovative storytelling and emotional depth. Her fourth feature film Jimpa (2022) premiered at Sundance.
