Rari Matei, a non-binary Romanian-Portuguese filmmaker and visual artist, resides and works at Two Steps Twice, a visual production company based in Luxembourg, creating evocative, tenebrous and queer-centric storytelling assets. Grounded in visual communication, music videos (Maz, C’est Karma or Francis of Delirium), and the arts, their journey seamlessly transitioned into the world of cinema. Oizys, their debut short film, explores themes of vulnerability, solitude and traumatic grief. Their work navigates intricate emotions and experiences, with a personal and fictional perspective on life’s complex challenges.
