Olivia (L'Olívia i el terratrèmol invisible)
Synopsis
Facing eviction along with her mother and little brother, teenager Olivia invents a story to cope with the situation. She tells her brother that they are actually shooting a movie… unaware that this fabrication will lead them on incredible adventures, surrounded by what might just become a new family.
Beautifully crafted in stop motion, this lovely story, grounded in a striking social reality, highlights the importance of collective and mutual help in precarious times. A breath of hope blows through Olivia, reminding us of the magic found in solidarity.

Irene Iborra Rizo
Born in Alicante in 1976, Irene Iborra Rizo is a Spanish screenwriter and director of stop motion animation. She has co-directed several short films on topics such as education, food sovereignty, or ecology. She is co-directing the Citoplasmas Stop Motion studio, and teaches scriptwriting at the BAU Design College of Barcelona. She has also co-written with Maite Carranza the children’s book series “Los 7 cavernicolas”.
