Jean-Paul COMMIN

Initially working as a journalist in the music press. Then director of music and publishing companies, Jean-Paul Commun went on to set up and manage several companies and professional organisations in France and Europe in the audiovisual and film sectors, including the general management of France Télévisions Distribution.

He has been involved in the production and distribution in France and abroad of numerous films and series, in particular animated films such as “Kirikou et la sorcière” and “Les triplettes de Belleville”.

He has advised on the production and distribution of animated films including “Funan” by Denis Do, “Josep” by Aurel and “They Shot the Piano Player” by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal. He is also the author of a book devoted to animated cinema: “Kirikou et après, 20 ans de cinéma d’animation en France”.

He is a Knight of the National Order of Merit of the French Ministry of Culture.
