Biografie
Born in Tehran in 1972, Massoud Bakhshi is an Iranian director; who studied photography and film in Rome and Paris. He began his career as a critic, screenwriter and producer before moving on to directing. He has directed a dozen of internationally acclaimed documentaries and short films, including Tehran Has No More Pomegrenates! (2007). His first feature fiction film, A Respectable Family (2012), premiered at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, and Yalda: A Night for Forgiveness (2019) won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and was selected at the Berlinale.
