Biografie

Born in 1961, Norbert Lechner studied literature, philosophy and art history in Munich. In 1991, he directed his first feature film, Wounded Faces, followed by a children’s film, Toni Goldwascher (2007). His Bavarian adaptation of Tom Sawyer, Tom and Hacke (2012) won numerous awards. In 2016, Ente gut! was selected in the Kplus Generation Competition at the Berlinale. Norbert Lechner is one of the most important directors of children’s films in the German-speaking world.
