Biografie
Born in 1988, Charlotte Serrand studied at the CPGE and, in 2012, obtained a master’s degree in cinema at the Université Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle under the directorship of Nicole Brenez. She wrote her thesis on filmmaker Albert Serra, with whom she has collaborated regularly since then (notably for Histoire de ma mort, La mort de Louis XIV, Liberté, Pacifiction). Since 2012 she has been involved in the organisation and programming of the International Film Festival of La Roche-sur-Yon as a programming assistant, assistant to the artistic management and artistic director assistant. In 2020 she was appointed artistic director of the Festival. In 2014, she directed and produced her first feature film 1048 Lunes which was screened in several international festivals (FIDMarseille, BAFICI). Between 2018 and 2021, she works as a programming advisor at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. Since 2018, she also collaborates with the festival Visions du Réel (Nyon). Since 2020, she has been the artistic director of the Festival International du Film de La Roche-sur-Yon.
