VILLMOOLS MERCI
With more than 22,000* people recorded in cinemas, despite a festival start that was historically spring-like, LuxFilmFest is pleased to announce a new record, as its overall attendance (all activities combined) is expected to flirt with 40,000 participants.
A city center dressed in pink, spectators spontaneously adopting the same color, Peter Doherty signing guitars in the pedestrian streets, Lisandro Alonso and Alma Pöysti meeting their fans during appearances in the city’s cinemas and restaurants, the historic exchange marked by great mutual respect between two icons, Emmanuelle Béart and Isabelle Huppert, the passion generated by the Masterclass of the 2026 Jury President, the iconic Spanish director Rodrigo Sorogoyen… once again, LuxFilmFest has built bridges between those who make cinema and those who love it.
The Festival would like to extend its warmest thanks to all the partners of this wonderful 2026 edition, without whom we wouldn’t be able to promote culture, cinema, diversity and the awakening of curiosity!
We look forward to seeing you again from 4 to 14 March 2027 for the 17ᵉ edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival.
