LuxFilmLab Juillet : L'Inconnue

Mittwoch, 1. Juli, 20 Uhr, Ciné Utopia

Presented in the Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, The Unknown (L’Inconnue) is Arthur Harari’s third feature film (Dark Inclusion, Onoda, coscenarist of Anatomy of a Fall).

Adapting the graphic novel co-written with his brother Lucas, the filmmaker casts Léa Seydoux and Niels Schneider in a naturalistic fantasy thriller. The film explores the depths of identity and otherness through the gaze of an anonymous photographer, brutally trapped inside another person’s body.

A deeply unsettling, mesmerizing journey into the depths of the human soul.

Photographer David Zimmerman rarely leaves home until friends bring him to a wild party. He becomes fixated on a mysterious woman and follows her. By dawn, his life transforms-he awakens in her body.

Discover the film on Wednesday, July 1st at 8pm at Ciné Utopia.

Le LuxFilmLab :

The first Wednesday of every month, LuxFilmLab – a joint initiative by Luxembourg City Film Festival and Kinepolis – highlights one feature film, chosen in cooperation by LuxFilmFest’s team and the Kinepolis programme team. A member of the Festival programming team introduces the special LuxFilmLab screenings, with the aim of supporting films whose release dates didn’t allow for them to be selected for the Festival itself but whose artistic qualities would very likely have led to their inclusion in the LuxFilmFest line-up.

*LuxFilmFest isn’t involved in the commercial aspects of these screenings. Access to the screenings and ticket prices are set by Kinepolis.
