Dans un petit village du Luxembourg, une employée de café tente de monter un centre culturel pour des réfugié·e·s, avec le soutien de son nouveau compagnon. Un jour, la mascotte du village, un chien sauvage, est abattu aux abords de la forêt. Cet événement crée une division parmi les habitant·e·s, et notamment chez le maire qui fait preuve d’une réelle xénophobie.
Dans ce premier film où se croisent une foule de personnages, Lukas Grevis parvient à raconter la montée des extrémismes en Europe et les efforts, parfois complètement étouffés, pour combattre cette mouvance. Un regard sans concession sur une réalité terrifiante et un excellent outil pédagogique à destination des jeunes générations.

Lukas Grevis
Né en 1998 à Esch-sur-Alzette, au Luxembourg, Lukas Grevis commence très tôt à travailler sur des plateaux de tournage et sur des projets semi-professionnels avant de finir le lycée. Il étudie ensuite le cinéma à la Sarajevo Film Academy en Bosnie. En 2022, il produit une websérie de cinq courts métrages sur la radicalisation. Du fait de sa vie à l’étranger, Lukas Grevis s’appuie sur une méthodologie qui consiste à combiner des coopérations avec son pays d’origine et des productions internationales.
