Born in 1985 in Kuala Lumpur, Amanda Nell Eu is a Malaysian writer and director who studied at the London Film School. Her short film It’s Easier to Raise Cattle was presented at Venice and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, where it received a special mention. She is known for explorations of the body and female identity in the cultural context of Southeast Asia, and Tiger Stripes is her feature debut.
