Biografie

Nathalie Hertzberg graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure with a degree in philosophy, and went on to train in film editing at the FEMIS. She worked as an assistant director at the Comédie-Française, where she wrote and directed a staged reading at the Studio Théâtre. Her first screenplay was a series, Scalp, broadcast by Canal Plus, co-written with director Xavier Durringer. She then went on to work regularly as a screenwriter, both for television (the Kaiser Karl series on Disney +, and the Adieu de Gaulle unit on Canal Plus) and film. She recently co-wrote Le Procès Goldman, the opening film of the 2023 Quinzaine des Cinéastes, with filmmaker Cédric Kahn. For some years now, in parallel with her work as a screenwriter, she has been giving occasional courses in philosophy, notably at the FEMIS, the Théâtre National de Bretagne in Rennes and Sciences Po Paris.
