To kick off the fall with a cinematic highlight, we invite you to join us for the Cannes Film Festival’s Grand Prix: Minotaur, the scorching new film by Russian master Andrey Zvyagintsev (Leviathan, Loveless).
Returning after a nine-year hiatus, Andrey Zvyagintsev delivers a pristine and stunning noir thriller—a brilliant reworking of Claude Chabrol’s La femme infidèle.
Through his immaculate direction, Zvyagintsev dissects toxicity, corruption, and the mechanisms of authoritarianism, offering a chilling and visually majestic allegory of contemporary society.
Russia, 2022. When Gleb, a successful company director, finds himself under siege from mounting corporate pressures and an increasingly unstable world, the collapse of his carefully ordered life accelerates toward violence.
About LuxFilmLab :
The first Wednesday of every month, LuxFilmLab – a joint initiative by Luxembourg City Film Festival and Kinepolis – highlights one feature film, chosen in cooperation by LuxFilmFest’s team and the Kinepolis programme team. A member of the Festival programming team introduces the special LuxFilmLab screenings, with the aim of supporting films whose release dates didn’t allow for them to be selected for the Festival itself but whose artistic qualities would very likely have led to their inclusion in the LuxFilmFest line-up.
*LuxFilmFest isn’t involved in the commercial aspects of these screenings. Access to the screenings and ticket prices are set by Kinepolis.
