A fable as intimate as it is political

Maher works in a traditional brickyard fed by the waters of the Nile near the Merowe dam. Every evening, he secretly wanders off into the desert to build a mysterious construction made of mud. Set against the Sudanese revolution, his creation starts to take a life of its own… The Dam is a political fable about the power of imagination set against the backdrop of the Sudanese revolution.

Screening of the film THE DAM (LE BARRAGE) in collaboration with the MUDAM, followed by a Q&A with the director and artist Ali Cherri and moderated by Joel Valabrega (MUDAM) and Line Ajan (MUDAM).
