Schwesterherz (The Good Sister)
Synopsis
Rose has a close bond with her much loved older brother Sam. When a woman accuses Sam of rape, Rose is asked to testify in an investigation against him. This is a test of both their relationship and her moral integrity.
Premiering in the Panorama section at the 2025 Berlinale, Schwesterherz (The Good Sister) marks the feature debut of Sarah Miro Fischer. This intense and delicate drama explores family bonds through the eyes of a young woman confronted with accusations against her brother.

Critics
Sarah Miro Fischer
Sarah Miro Fischer was born in 1993. She initially studied film at the conservatory of the Escuela Nacional de Cine in Bogotá, Colombia. Upon returning to Germany, she completed a script development internship and worked on various projects as a set manager and second assistant director.
Since October 2018, she has been studying at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. She has collaborated on several short films as an artistic consultant and screenwriter, and directed the short film Spit (2021), which received a special mention at the Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival in New York in 2022.
The Good Sister (2025) is her debut feature film.
