Synopsis

A remarkable inner journey.

Quirino, 77, has lived for more than 30 years in an abandoned village, at the bottom of a deep valley, between the sea and the mountains. Feeling the effects of old age, Quirino faces the dilemma of having to leave the only place he has ever known or end his days there.

OMI NOBU explores Man’s intimate relationship with Time; the frozen time of an abandoned village confronts us with our own mortal condition. The story of Quirino is also a confrontation of tradition and modernity, of Man’s attachment to the Earth and his relationship with Nature.
