Awards

The GRAND PRIX BY ORANGE is endowed with €10,000. It rewards a work of fiction between films selected in the “Official Competition” category. The prize is given by the International Jury, composed of figures from the film industry.

The DOCUMENTARY AWARD BY BGL BNP PARIBAS is endowed with €5,000. It rewards a documentary chosen in the “Documentary Competition” category. The prize is given by the Documentary Jury composed of festival representatives.

The FIPRESCI AWARD, also known as the International Critics’ Award, is a film award presented by a jury of international film critics through the International Federation of the Film Press (FIPRESCI).

In 2024, the 2030 AWARD BY LUXEMBOURG AID & DEVELOPMENT will be awarded for the third time by the Luxembourg Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action. It will be awarded to a film chosen from a transversal selection of 5 films illustrating or approaching development issues or to a director with a link to the partner countries of the Luxembourg Cooperation. It will be endowed with €7,500.

The AUDIENCE AWARD BY ORANGE will be awarded to the film of the Official Competition that receives the most votes from the public.

The YOUTH JURY PRIZE BY KINEPOLIS is endowed with €2,000. It rewards a work of fiction or a documentary chosen from a competition of 7 films in all categories by Luxembourg high school students between 16 and 19 years old.

The SCHOOL JURY AWARD rewards a work of fiction or a documentary chosen from a competition of five films aimed at young people between 12 and 15 years old. The jury is composed of a class from a Luxembourg high school.

The KIDS JURY AWARD rewards a work of fiction or a documentary chosen from a competition of five films aimed at children between 7 and 11 years old. The jury is composed of a class from a Luxembourgish primary school.

The VR AWARD recognizes the best immersive experience in the VR Pavilion. The prize is given by the VR Jury.
